Saying "See Ya Later!"
I just got a call from Alaina to say that the team is loading up the vehicles at the ministry house on Eagle Street and will soon return to New Orleans Bible Church, our home base. Already yesterday, we heard strong opinions and strong emotions about having to leave these very special people. The team has given all their heart and energy this mission. They've opted for more ministry time instead of free time or "tourist stuff".
Tonight our group begins to process what God did here in New Orleans.
About to Head Out on Our Final Day of Ministry
Just a few observations so far on this impressive team:
A very playful, loving, close mission team that can be silly one minute and tenderly caring the next. There's lots of laughter and earnest shared prayer times. People are easily moving with our quickly adapting schedules. The veterans of previous missions are always looking to see how the first timers are doing in sorting out everything we see, hear and do. Wow!

Off to bed time on our first night
What an afternoon and evening. We started with the famous Brothers Chicken, then quickly went off to visit the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. We saw and heard about the August 2005 Katrina disaster, then spent some time in quiet prayer.
We helped the Center of Jesus the Lord Church pack, transport and serve dinner to hundreds of men who are homeless at Ozanam Inn in the Warehouse District. Our team served up food, hope and love to guys in need.
The first of our daily pictures have been uploaded on the SmugMug site. Click the Photo Gallery button on the right to see the best pictures.
The music slideshow of the day will soon be available.
Everyone's healthy and really gave their all today.
Thanks everyone who helped the team get here and for those who are praying us all through.
G'night.
Wes
